Challenge Of The Week: Smiling

smile030

This week I tried smiling no matter what, no matter where, no matter when!

It was quite an experience. At first, it felt a bit weird and awkward because nobody else around me was smiling. I just felt a bit out of place, however, the moreĀ  I did it the more comfortable it became. Soon enough, I started to see that people usually responded to me a in a more positive manner and many of the smiled back.

From this experience, I will have to definitely add smiling into my daily purposeful actions list and continue smiling no matter where, no matter what, no matter when!

Couple of additional observations. Most people tend to keep their heads down, look down at the pavement. People rarely smile and just generally do not seem that happy. However, I know that me smiling for now reason and saying hi will have a positive impact not only on people around but to me as well.

Smiling is one of the easiest ways to differentiate yourself from the crowd. Most people know that they should smile, but they do not. Be different and do it!

I always try and do this no matter how bad I feel and how angry other people are. It can be tough at times but it also gets you through the day and if you only make one other person smile then you have done your job :)
